GIS is a valuable tool used for planning, decision-making, and management of resources, having the ability to map, analyze, and store geographically referenced data. It is applied in market analysis, land use planning, infrastructure management, among others.
This workshop trains learners to use GIS tools for visualizing real-world features, analyzing spatial data, and making informed decisions.
This GIS Mapping workshop is intended for professionals who would like to employ GIS in their professional work to make decisions and disseminate information.
Upon completion of this workshop, participants will be able to:
Acquire, process, and map GIS data effectively.
Work with both vector and raster data formats.
Execute a comprehensive GIS project, including data acquisition, processing, analysis, and visualization.
Utilize attributes and shapefiles to create professional maps.
